Common use

Venlor belongs to the class of serotonin-norepinephrine reuptake inhibitors (SNRIs) and contains active ingredient Hydrochloride. The medication is used to treat major depressive disorder or generalized anxiety disorder. It also helps to lessen pain associated with diabetic neuropathy and fibromyalgia.

Dosage and direction

Take Venlor by mouth with a glass of water, with or without food once daily in evening or morning. Avoid cutting, crushing or chewing this medicine. Precautions

Venlor should not be used by pregnant/nursing women or children as well as by the patients having Venlor trated a reaction of hypersensitivity to Venlafaxine.

Possible side effect

The most common side effects are quick and irregular pulse, tremor, anxiety, blurred vision, vomiting, fever, diarrhea, etc. A very serious allergic reaction rarely occurs. Drug interaction

Venlafaxine can interact with: * MAO inhibitors: Furazolidone, Isocarboxazid, Linezolid, Moclobemide Tranylcypromine, etc. * Antiarrhythmic drugs: Propafenone, Quinidine, etc * Selective serotonin reuptake inhibitors (SSRIs): Citalopram, Dapoxetine, Fluoxetine, Fluvoxamine, Paroxetine, etc. * Antipsychotics (also called neuroleptics): Fluphenazine, etc. * H2-receptor antagonists: Cimetidine, Ranitidine, Famotidine, Nizatidine, etc. Take Venlor only 14 days after intake of MAOI was discontinued, or start MAOI only 7 days after treatment with Venlor was discontinued. Missed dose

If you have missed your dose, take it as soon as you remember. If you see that it is near the time for the next dose, skip the missed dose and resume your usual dosing schedule. Do not take your dose twice.

Overdose

If you think you have used too much of this medicine seek emergency medical attention right away. The symptoms of overdose usually include chest pain, nausea, irregular heartbeat, and feeling light-headed or fainting.

Storage

Store your medicines at room temperature between 68-77 F (20-25 C) away from light and moisture. Do not store them in the bathroom. Keep all drugs away from reach of children and pets.
