Common use

Fulvicin is an antifungal medication which used to treat fungal infections of the skin, hair, and nails such as jock itch, athlete's foot, and barber's itch. Use it alone or with other drugs that are applied to the skin for fungus infections.

Dosage and direction

Consult with your doctor before using. Use no more than was prescribed. Shake well before using. Take it orally once a day or divided into smaller doses, as determined by your doctor. Precautions

Before using Fulvicin tell your doctor if you are allergic to griseofulvin, penicillin, or any other drugs. Fulvicin may make your skin sensitive to sunlight, so you should wear protective clothing, sunglasses, and sunscreen. Fulvicin may increase the effects of alcohol. Taken Fulvicin with alcohol may cause fast heartbeat, increased sweating, flushing, or redness of the face. Therefore, if you have this reaction, do not drink alcoholic beverages while you are taking this medicine, unless you have first checked with your doctor.This medication hould not be used during pregnancy, becoming pregnancy or lactating. Contraindications

Possible side effect

Drug interaction

Fulvicin interact with the follow drugs: desogestrel; ethinyl Estradiol; etonogestrel; levonorgestrel; mestranol; norelgestromin; norethindrone; norgestrel; phenobarbital; warfarin. Also note that interaction between two medications does not always mean that you must stop taking one of them. As usual it affects the the effect of drugs, so consult with your doctor about how it interactions are being managed or should be managed.

Missed dose

If you forgot to take your dose in time, please do it as soon as you remember. But do not take if it is too late or almost time for your next dose. Do not increase your recommended dose. Take your usually dose next day in the same regularly time.

Overdose

Symptoms of Fulvicin overdose are not known well but most possible include: lethargy, vertigo, blurred vision, nausea, vomiting, and diarrhea. If you experience one of them or any unusual symptoms call your doctor immediately.

Storage

Store at room temperature between 20-25 C (68-77 F).
